Appreciation for a job well done

Last Thursday evening, around 6:30pm, we had some visitors stop by our Fire Station # 2. Mark & Kirsten Miller, along with their children Sienna, Analese and Kelly dropped off some pictures and a gift card from Costco.

Two years ago this past Labor Day weekend the Millers were out of town when their home on Oxbow Drive was struck by lightning and started on fire. The fire was confined to the bedroom and was quickly extinguished by fire crews. The Millers have since recovered from their loss and are again living in the home. They wanted to pass on their thanks to all of the firefighters that responded that evening and to everyone on the department for all that we do.

While it has been two years since their tragic event, they have been trying to find a way to say thank you. Attached is a copy of the pictures that the children made for us (They are proudly displayed on the board at Station # 2). We will use the gift card from Costco to purchase something for the department on behalf of the entire Miller family.

Thank you to the Miller family for your support of the Eden Prairie Fire Department, and know that you are welcome at the Fire station any time!
