The fact that the folks at LEO A DALY did all of their work free of charge for the Minnesota Fire Service only heightens their results. The link to an article written in today’s St. Paul Pioneer Press sheds a little bit of light on the concept hatched by the design team. I can tell you from personal experience that when you visit the memorial it is indeed a moving experience to walk into the area where the engraved columns are and see all of the names of the fallen. Each one is a life given in sacrifice and in many cases, the arc of a family forever changed by their loss.
If you haven’t had a chance to visit the memorial, I would encourage you to do so. I am certain you will find it to be time well spent.
