Lions Club Award for Chief DeMann

At last night’s City Council meeting, the Eden Prairie Lions Club awarded the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award to Police Chief Jim DeMann.

The award is the highest honor bestowed by the Lions Club International Foundation and is given to community members whose lives have been characterized by their dedication to serve their communities and whose ideals embody the objectives and spirit of the Lions Club.

Chief DeMann is retiring from the EPPD Sept. 28 after 31 years of dedicated service to the community.

We congratulate Chief DeMann on this prestigious honor and thank the Lions Club for recognizing the three decades he has dutifully protected and served Eden Prairie.
