These are three photos from the grand opening and re-dedication of the Eden Prairie Community Center this past Saturday. It was a beautiful sunny morning to hear a few speeches and cut the ribbon. We had a small turnout initially, but it grew throughout the early afternoon. The Community Center staff gave tours, served cake and talked about the great new facility. The residents I had a chance to talk to loved it. Compliments were everywhere.
Congrats to Parks & Rec employee Nicole White for organizing a very nice event. It was well planned and well executed. Also, congratulations to our Parks & Recreation Directors, past and present, Bob Lambert and Jay Lotthammer for their work on the project. True, they’ve both had lots of help to make this project happen, but a project of this nature doesn’t get off the ground or completed without solid leadership. Bob got it started and Jay finished it off. Great work – both of you!
