There is a group of Eden Prairie residents who have stepped forward to raise money to equip our new Art Center. The City is moving forward with the design and renovation of the Art Center, which was a gift to the City from the Roger Sampson family, but is looking to the community to help raise some private money to fund the improvements.
The fund raising is off to a great start with a an initial $25,000 gift. The Friends of the Eden Prairie Art Center was to raise $500,000. The $500,000 will remodel the interior of the building; construct a new 20+ car parking lot; and provide the necessary equipment (kilns, pottery wheels, storage lockers, etc.) to make the place first rate from Day 1.
Day 1 is January 5, 2009.
